Council to Build Greater Accessibility In Manitoba:
At a Winnipeg forum organized by the provincial Disabilities Issues Office (DIO) to recognize the United Nations International Day for Persons with Disabilities tomorrow, Labour and Immigration Minister Jennifer Howard, minister responsible for persons with disabilities, today announced the membership of the 12-person Accessibility Advisory Council, appointed to help identify, remove or prevent barriers faced by people with disabilities.

Changes to Liquor Control Act give restaurant owners new choice
Restaurants in Manitoba now have the option of allowing patrons to bring their own wine to the table, thanks to a new law passed by the provincial government.

Changes to the liquor act now allow people to bring their own, unopened bottle of commercially-made wine into a licensed dining room to have with a meal. (CBC)
Manitoba has become the sixth province in Canada allowing restaurants to offer customers a bring-your-own-wine service. The BYOW legislation came into effect on Nov. 1.
